2011 Boyd Hughes All Star Challenge Nov.18-19,2011

It is getting to be that time of year again when it is time for one of the greatest races in Quarterscale.

This race got it's start in 2005 when we lost one of our racers and decided to honor him with a race bearing his name. This race is a 100% benefit event where 100% of the proceeds from entry fees and donations go to the daughter of Boyd Hughes to assist in paying for her college education.

Not only is this a great cause for one of our own but it is a GREAT TIME!

The Hughes family comes out every single year and feeds us like we are family until we cannot make it up the drivers stand steps without some assistance. Nobody goes away hungry. I and a few other do our very best to "save" our fellow racers from those fudge brownies but somehow others always seem to get into them.

This race has been held 6 times thusfar with ZERO repeat winners. That is right ZERO!

This race has a very unique format from qualifying to running of the main event. Those details I will post up here very soon, but you can bet your Right Rear tire that it will be one of the best times you have ever had.

There are lots of things in the works for this race and like I said I will post up more details as they come to light, but I will hold some back so you guys have some suprises to look foward to at the race.

One thing I will share with you is that on Friday night there is going to be a special truck race. "The Prelude to the BHASC 125"

Here is how it is going to work.

As many that want to enter the race can, pay a $15 entry fee and you are in.

5:30 p.m.Single truck qualifying only, no heats!

This will be a maximum of an 11 truck Main.

With that being said, if more than 11 trucks enter this is how we will sort it out. The trucks that qualify from 11th down will run a LCQ (Last chance Qualifier) of 40 laps. The winner of this LCQ will get the 11th starting position in the race.

6:30 p.m. "The Prelude to the BHASC 125" gets under way.

This race will take about 35 minutes, as soon as the race is over and all the pictures taken, the track will be open for practice until 9:00 p.m. Lights out at 9:00 p.m. sharp.

Oh yeah, if you enter this race, then enter a race on Saturday, you get a $5 discount on Saturday's entry fee.

All of this begs the questions.

Will YOU be the first "Prelude to the BHASC 125"? There can be only one FIRST!

Will YOU add you name to the list of the past winners of the "BHASC"

Or maybe one of the past Champions will be the first to repeat.

Be there to find out!
